codex to claude session transfer

Today I was almost out of my Codex weekly limit, but I still wanted to finish a feature I was adding to a project.

I also have a Claude subscription that I haven’t been using much lately, so I thought: what if I could just transfer my current Codex session to Claude?

I googled around a bit, but most of the solutions I found were either conflicting or unnecessarily complicated.

Then I thought, why not just ask Claude CLI to import my current Codex CLI session?

So I did.

And, surprisingly, it worked. It picked up the context and I just continued the implementation with Claude.
